Backlight notification (BLN) on Samsung Galaxy S II? Yes, it is not a dream anymore. Using NoLED on Samsung Galaxy S2 does help to get notified when we have missed call, SMS or email. But it eats a bit more battery compare to backlight notification. Therefore, BLN is the ultimate solution for Samsung Galaxy S2 users. Too bad that Samsung did not enable this feature on stock firmware. But no worry, there is backlight notification for SGS2 users now.
How to enable backlight notification BLN on Samsung Galaxy S2? You need a mod kernel that support backlight notification and BLN control application. There are ninphetamine Kernel and Jame Bond Care Bear Kernel which support firmware based on 2.3.3 and 2.3.4 to choose from. And BLN control free and pro edition. Personally, I tried Jame Bond Care Bear Kernel and BLN control – Pro. Both of them are working great. I have backlight notification for missed call, Gmail… Just install the kernel through ClockworkMod Recovery. Then install BLN control and enable BLN. That’s all.

When i touch the screen it works.
when i press the power button it works.

I uninstalled Noled which may have caused a conflict with BLN…

Not sure. What did you do until made SMS notification cannot pop up? Try to restore CWM backup if you have.
I have the same problem as Mustafa with OS Gingerbread 2.3.4 and noled is not installed.

got some news… by an incoming whatsapp message my display turns not on and bln works -> the kernel support bln.
incoming sms -> display turns on -> bln off :S

How can i activate it on a custom rom with ICS 4.0.3?
I tried the same .zip file which was mean for the 2.xx, but my customrom crash alltime.. only one solution was a Hardreset….
You need to install ICS kernel that support BLN.

No as far as I know, you need custom kernel that support it.
hey , i have getting problem in my galaxy s2 music player setting after update it to jelly beans . sound not clearly when i choose and equalizer option ,but when i listen any song in default setting means equalizer auto and sound clarity in normal mode ,then songs play clearly . plz tell me how to solve it.
